Building a school for children in Malindi, Kenya.
In collaboration with a local charity called The Footprints Family, we constructed a kitchen facility and refractory for the Rainbow House Orphanage. The Footprints Family have committed to building a children's home, and school and staff quarters for a small community in Malindi, in coastal Kenya. The ongoing maintenance of this campus will be funded by The Footprints Family. In addition, Reachout Now have provided land for growing crops which will provide food for the home.
Initially, Trustees Susan Brett and Gayle Robertson had visited the project in 2005 to ensure the project was on schedule and benefitting the intended children.
In 2009, Trustees Haresh and Jagruti with their children visited the orphanage to meet the children and review the progress.
